This policy explains how we handle information when you use our enterprise time recording, billing, matter management, and AI legal research platform. We have designed this Privacy Policy to be as clear and straightforward as possible.
This is a legally binding document ("Privacy Policy") between you and Persix ("Persix," "we," or "us"). It governs how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you access any Persix Services.
PLEASE READ THIS PRIVACY POLICY CAREFULLY before using Persix. By accessing or using any Persix Services, you agree to the collection and use of your information as described in this policy.
When you use Persix Services, we automatically record technical information from your device, including IP address, browser type, and activity logs. We also use cookies to enable secure logins, maintain sessions, and understand how the platform is used.
Persix acts as a strict data processor for the Firm Data you enter into the platform. We understand that this data includes privileged attorney-client information and highly confidential financial records. We use Firm Data solely to provide the Services to your organization.
Your confidential Firm Data (matters, documents, time entries) is never used to train our base AI models or our Ghanaian case law search engine. AI prompts and natural language queries made by your firm are processed securely and are completely isolated to your firm's environment.
If you sync your calendar, we use this access strictly to read and write events related to your matters (such as court dates and deadlines). We do not use calendar data for advertising, nor do we share it with unauthorized third parties. Our use of information received from Google APIs will strictly adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Your Firm Data is strictly confidential. Unlike public platforms, Persix does not make your matters, documents, WIP reports, or time entries visible to anyone outside of your authorized organization.
We work with trusted third-party companies to help provide, analyze, and improve Persix Services, including secure data storage, AI processing infrastructure, and payment processing. These third parties access your information only to perform tasks on our behalf under strict confidentiality obligations.
We may disclose information about you when we have a good faith belief that disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with a compulsory legal request. We will independently object to requests for access to user information that we believe to be improper and will notify the Subscriber of any such requests unless prohibited by law.
If you are a registered user, you may review or update your personal profile. Subscribers have full control over their Firm Data and may export or delete it at any time. Upon account termination, we will delete your Firm Data quickly upon request, though securely encrypted backed-up versions might exist temporarily as part of our standard disaster recovery protocols.

This Privacy Policy may change from time to time. If we make changes that materially impact the confidentiality of your data, we will provide notice. By continuing to use Persix Services after changes become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Privacy Policy.
