Persix is an enterprise time recording, billing, matter management, and AI-powered legal research platform designed specifically for law firms. We have designed these Terms of Service to clearly define your rights and obligations when using our software.
This is a legally binding contract ("Agreement") between you and Persix ("Persix," "we," or "us"). It governs your use of all sites, services, products, and software provided by Persix, including our matter management, financial tracking, calendaring, and Ghanaian case law research tools (collectively, "Persix Services" or "the Services").
PLEASE READ THIS AGREEMENT CAREFULLY before using Persix. By accessing or using any Persix Services, you agree to be bound by all terms in this Agreement and to the collection and use of your information as described in our Privacy Policy.
You may use the Persix Services only if you can form a binding contract with Persix, and only in compliance with this Agreement and all applicable laws.
Users are permitted to use the Subscription Services solely in connection with the Subscriber's provision of its legal services to clients. Users shall not share passwords or access to the platform outside of authorized firm personnel.
Persix offers multiple Subscription Tiers designed to fit different firm sizes and operational complexities. Features available to you — such as advanced approval workflows, automated multi-currency invoicing (GHS, USD, EUR), and comprehensive WIP reporting — depend on your active Subscription Tier.
A Subscriber shall pay the subscription fees ("Fees") associated with their selected tier. By subscribing, you authorize Persix to automatically renew your subscription using the payment method provided during registration.
Subscriber owns all rights, title, and interest in and to the Firm Data. Persix claims no ownership over your clients' records, matters, time entries, or financial documents.
Persix recognizes that Firm Data contains highly confidential and privileged attorney-client information. We implement strict, enterprise-grade security measures to protect this data from unauthorized access, disclosure, or modification.
We do not use your Firm Data to train our underlying legal research AI models. Your client data remains strictly siloed and private to your firm.
Persix provides automated tools to generate invoices and calculate taxes, including VAT, NHIL, and GET Fund, as well as multi-currency exchange rate handling. However, these tools are provided for operational convenience. The Subscriber is solely responsible for verifying all financial calculations, ensuring correct tax rates are applied, and maintaining compliance with the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) or other relevant tax authorities. Persix is not an accounting firm and bears no liability for tax filing errors, audit penalties, or incorrect invoice generation.
The Persix AI assistant provides natural language answers and paragraph-level citations based on our indexed database of Ghanaian case law. While we strive to prevent hallucinations by strictly tying AI responses to verifiable legal authorities, Persix does not provide legal advice. By using our Services:
Persix offers integrations with third-party services, including Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook, to sync hearings, meetings, and limitation periods. By enabling these integrations, you authorize Persix to access and modify your calendar data strictly for the purpose of providing the scheduling features within the Service.
All right, title, and interest in and to the Persix platform (including software, algorithms, workflows, UI/UX, and the Ghanaian legal research databases) are and will remain the exclusive property of Persix. You agree not to copy, modify, scrape, or create derivative works of the Persix software or databases.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Persix assumes no liability or responsibility for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of the Services or reliance on any AI-generated legal citations.
Persix reserves the right to modify this Agreement at any time. For significant changes, we will notify Subscribers via email. Continuing to use Persix Services after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
